The University of Southampton (Malaysia Campus) invites qualified students to apply for University of Southampton Scholarship 2012. When it opens in October 2012, the Malaysia Campus will be based at EduCity@Iskandar, an integrated best–in-class higher education hub within Iskandar, Malaysia.
Entry Requirement
We need to ensure that your listening, written and spoken English skills will enable you to enjoy the full benefit of your studies. You will need an International English Language Testing System (IELTS) score of 6.5 or a Cambridge International Examinations English O level grade C or above, or an equivalent qualification.
In addition to meeting the University English requirements, you must ensure that you also meet the UK Border Agency English language requirements for your student visa when you transfer to Southampton. For more information see www.southampton.ac.uk/international/entry_reqs.
Other acceptable Qualification
As well as 'A' levels (as awarded in the UK secondary education system) we will accept a wide variety of international qualifications for entry to our courses.

Advanced Diploma from a Malaysian College or University College | If content of the Advanced Diploma is appropriate for entry to Year 2, applicants with a GPA of 3.5 out of 4 may be considered |
Australian and Canadian Pre-U Programmes | For excellent students with A grades and B grades at SPM and with Pre-U grades at 85% plus, applicants will be considered on a case-by-case basis. |
Other Pre-U Programmes such as Bellerbys, Kaplan College, INTO, Nottingham, David Game College, Canterbury CATS etc | Applicants will be considered on a case-by-case basis depending on the programme of study, duration and grades achieved. |
How to apply ?
If you would like to apply directly for one of our courses, please download a direct application form.
Please complete and submit your application form either via email, post or fax. You will need to include the relevant supporting documents. Once we have received your application we will send you an acknowledgement email.
Your application will be passed on to our Admissions Team for consideration and a decision will be made within 10 working days. Confirmation will be sent to you via email.
Once you accept our offer, a non-refundable deposit of RM1000 is required. This will be deducted from your first semester's tuition fees. We will keep you updated on the status of your application throughout the process.
Closing Date
You should apply between 1 September 2011 and 15 January 2012 if you are from the UK or EU. If you are an international (non-EU) student you can apply from 1 September 2011 until 30 June 2012.
